Cuba's Best Holiday Destinations

By Jose Mauricio Maurette

Are you considering your next holidays in Cuba? If so you are in for an unforgettable experience. Cuba's charm is comparable to no other destination in the Caribbean, for not to mention its history and impressive architecture patrimony.

It is all about knowing where to go, what to see and which locations to combine to get the most out of your experience in Cuba. This island has such a rich culture, history, architecture and Nature that when you put all together you have ideal recipe for an unforgettable holiday.

Varadero has to be the most favourite beach area among tourists. Located only 2 hours drive from Havana it is ideal for those looking to spend few days in the beach and also enjoy the squares and bars of Havana's legendary Old Town.

Pinar del Rio province has the most attractive landscapes in Cuba especially those of Vinales Valley where the best tobacco of the world is harvested every year. Soroa and last Terrazas also in Pinar del Rio are especially attractive among those interested in hiking, tracking and bird watching.

Trinidad de Cuba one of the most beautiful cities in Cuba was declared World Heritage Site in 1986 by UNESCO. Today Trinidad still looks the same it was 300 years ago. Trinidad also has the best beaches in the Caribbean side of Cuba so if you want to blend a bit of culture and relaxation then Trinidad is definitely the place to go.

Havana without a doubt should not be left out in your visit. This city represents the main interaction with the Cuban culture. Havana?s Old Town is one of its best assets. You can find life music almost in every corner and every square.

You can combine as many places as your time and budget allows. Bear in mind that traveling around the island will increase the cost of your holidays since you will have to afford the transportation which is mainly by taxis and in some cases you could spend up to 6 hours on the road.

Things might change in Cuba pretty soon and there is so much to see before it happens. My recommendation is not to delay your plans to travel to Cuba or you might miss the last 50 years of history and culture. - 29868
