River Cruises In Spain

By Jason Myers

Over the last three decades Barcelona Spain has turned out to be one of Europe's biggest and most trafficked Cruise harbors. Due to its distinct location overlooking the famous Mediterranean, most Cruises from Spain departing Barcelona are Mediterranean cruises visiting other ports in Spain, Turkey, Italy (particularly Rome and Venice), France, and Greece (Athens). Several transatlantic expeditions also leave from the city, and a restricted number of northern European itineraries also originate from this northern Mediterranean port.

Cruise ships are generally moored at either of the following locations, including berths being allocated upon the day of arrival.

Expedition lengths range from 3 to 15 nights, with the majority being seven-night cruises from Barcelona of both one-way and round-trip itineraries. Shorter options are nearly constantly roundtrip from Barcelona with only one or two ports of call, while seven day expeditions offer a big range of destinations to select from. Pullmantur Cruises have announced a new journey sailing from Malaga Spain with dates in September October and November.

Royal Caribbean also has five night cruises from Malaga on Navigator of the Seas leaving in October and November. These cruises are huge value because they include the all-inclusive system onboard-so there are no spiteful revelations as you come to pay for your onboard fees. Voyages from Spain can be purchased on a cruise only basis or as a package with flights and transfers.

A lot of people choose the cruise only selection because it provides them more flexibility to add a hotel stay for instance and also the possibility to accumulate money. This money can be paid on other luxury services. - 29868
