Cruise Travel Tips - 7 Important Tips for Your Cruise Vacation

By David Erskine

Can't wait for the day that you'll take a cruise? That's really something to look forward to but first you have to keep in mind some tips.

There are a lot of things that can happen inside a cruise and there are things that we tend to neglect. But don't worry because we're going discuss some of the most important tips.

1. Stay away from shore excursions even if their package is really cheap because a lot of things can happen when you're on an island.

2. Ask for the cruise ship's layout plan before you book your cabin. Make sure that you don't choose a cabin that's near the laundry room and meeting points because you won't stand the noise.

3. It's very important that you bring with you a cruise packing list. There are many resources online that will help you with that. It's always a handy tip to bring an extension cord because your cabin will most likely have only one outlet.

4. Take an easy to carry bag when going on a cruise and put in your things that you need to have easy and fast access with. Your luggage can take sometime before it gets to your cabin.

5. One of the best cruise vacation tips is to ask for a cruise ship's map with your travel agent before you take your cruise vacation. Cruise ships are very large and it can be frustrating when you get lost inside it. Take the time to go around the ship to know the areas that you will be going.

6. Don't take all of your expensive and luxurious jewelry when you go on a cruise vacation. You don't really want to do this but you might want to take a good set so you'll have something to wear on a Captain's dinner and for watching cruise shows.

7. Always be respectful of your other fellow passengers. Don't be too noisy in a cruise ship especially during mornings because most of them are still sleeping from a good night at the cruise. - 29868
